Brian C. Pearcy has been practicing law in Riverside since his admission to the Bar in 1991. Brian is a graduate of the University of California, Riverside with degrees in Administrative Studies and Economics. He received his law degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Pearcy owned a business in Riverside and was a full-time police officer for the Los Angeles Police Department.

Pearcy started his law career at a large local firm. After five years, he left to form boutique firm with two partners. Today, he practices in Riverside with several attorneys and staff at his own law corporation. His practice focuses on general civil litigation, consisting primarily of business/real estate litigation. He also engages in transactional work as outside general counsel for his corporate clients.

Pearcy regularly serves as a Judge Pro-Tem for the Riverside Superior Court—Civil Division. He serves as a mediator for the Superior Court, Fourth District Court of Appeals Voluntary Appellate Settlement Program and RCBA Dispute Resolution Service, Inc. He is an arbitrator for the RCBA Fee Arbitration program.

As a mediator, Pearcy has successfully resolved Business, Real Estate, Employee Contract, Personal Injury and Neighbor disputes in both privately-retained and court-appointed matters.

Pearcy has been active in the Riverside County Bar Association (RCBA) since joining in 1991. He rose through the Riverside County Barristers Association and became its President in 1998. He was on the RCBA executive board from 1999 through 2003, serving most terms as a director and officer until he was elected as president in 2002. He has been a member of the Leo A. Deegan Inn of Court since 1996.

Outside the civil legal arena, he remains active in law enforcement, having transitioned from a full-time officer to a Certified Designated Level I reserve officer with the LAPD. After spending over 18 years working gang enforcement in South Central LA, Pearcy is now in his fourth year as a motor officer at West Traffic Division. He currently sits on the board and is a past chair of the Law Enforcement Appreciation Committee for Western Riverside County.

In the civic and business arenas, Pearcy has served the City of Riverside in the following capacities: the Community Police Review Commission (CPRC), the Downtown Parking Committee (DPC) and the Parking Traffic and Streets Commission (PT&S). He recently concluded in his fourth term as Chair of the DPC, and is past a chair of CPRC and PT&S. He is a past president of the Riverside Chamber of Commerce—Downtown Division, and currently serves on the executive board of the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce. He is also on the board of directors of the Riverside Downtown Partnership, which is the business improvement district for Downtown Riverside and has served one term as its chair.

Pearcy spends his free time traveling on his motorcycle with his wife Tera Harden (a local privately-retained criminal defense Attorney) and restoring old houses.
