Additional Information

A native of Southern California, John A. Boyd joined Thompson & Colegate in 1979 after finishing law school. He became a partner in 1986, working in the commercial litigation department of the firm on both state and federal levels. While attending Pepperdine University School of Law, he served as a member and business editor of the Pepperdine Law Review.

Boyd is a past chairman and member of the Parking, Traffic and Streets Commission. He was involved in the community’s Little League AYSO and NJB. He coaches and organizes mock trials and is an active leader in his local church.

Boyd has given tremendously of his time to the legal community as a mediator for RCBA Dispute Resolution Service, Inc., as a fee arbitrator for the RCBA Fee Arbitration Panel and as a trial court mediator for the local superior court. Additionally, he is currently serving as a Judge Pro-Tem for the Riverside County Superior Court.
